it takes 7 seconds to strike 4 o clock .. so 3 strikes after the hand strikes 12 take 7 seconds .. so each strike takes 7/3 seconds. So at 11, the remaining 10 strikes will take 10*7/3 = 23.33 seconds Ans.

if u plot the graph of f(m), it’s the curve (m-1)² for m>1 and the straight line 3m for m<1 with discontinuity at m=1. now, when in a function y=f(x), x is replaced by a-x, the new function’s graph is just the mirror image of the graph of y=f(x) around x = a/2. in this case the new graph is just the mirror image of the previous graph around m=1/2. Sorry, unable to post the graph. 🙁
